Our Lap-Sit Story Time is meeting on every second and fourth Thursday at 10:30 a.m. here at the library. WE STILL HAVE ROOM FOR MORE!
Babies and toddlers ages birth to three years and their parent or care giver are invited to join us as we share stories, rhymes, songs, finger-plays and more. One parent or care giver must accompany each child. There is no charge for this program. If you have questions, feel free to call us at (785)798-3415.

The NESS CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY is now a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center. As a member of this nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit agencies, the NESS CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY provides visitors with free public access to grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center’s electronic databases; as well as, Foundation Grants to Individuals Online. The fully searchable databases include detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, as well as an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation’s top funders.

In partnership with the Ness County Economic Development Office, public meetings will be scheduled at a later date to explain how these grants can be researched and obtained for non-profit organizations and individuals.
Ness City Public Library has served Ness City and surrounding areas since 1887. There are over 17,000 items in our core collection which consists of fiction, non-fiction, audio books, videos and DVDs, large print books, magazines and area newspapers. We offer numerous services to our patrons such as five public computers, wireless access, a copy machine, fax machine, typewriter, laminator, and CD/DVD cleaning. We deliver to home bound and nursing home residents. We pride ourselves on providing friendly, up to date services and materials for our patrons.
